Merry Christmas

Christmas was of course amazing along with Christmas eve. I spent Christmas Eve day with the Neills and Christmas Eve Night with the Nemnichs.Both were fun. With Grandpa Nemnich being in hospice we brought Christmas to him at the Nursing Home. The cousins and I had much fun together from Catchphrase to loads of laughter. Love those kids. And who could forget the cutest cousins! The babys Jacob and Landan.


Christmas day was nice and relaxed. We went to church where I gave a talk, then we came home for household presents and Shae and Shari and Hector joined us later that day for a relaxed Christmas. Later on in the night we drove around to look at Christmas Lights.

Another Festive Day

Well the advent thing with Shae has been SO fun, and she has got me some great things! Everything is so me, but I will show you pictures of 3 other things she gave me. The first is a sister plaque that made me feel old and want to cry. LOL


Then another day she gave me a cool Eiffel Tower picture, then a another picture to match that says Paris like subway art. I hung them above me book case (which is also new), and might I say it fits and looks PERFECT THERE!


Mom found one of the coolest thrift store finds EVER! She found a 5 dollar Audrey Hepburn sign at the thrift store, and it is amazing. It isnt the typical Breakfest at Tiffany s picture, and the colors match my room from the white and black to the light pink pearl earnings and lips! LOVE IT!!

Tonight is Northglenn Youth Commission Holiday party. We will be snacking and doing a White Elephant Exchange. I made some pretty cupcakes all by myself with my cupcake apron and cupcake pot holder, and I almost burnt down the house all by myself. :P

BrokeNCYDE

School finished for the semester, which makes me feel old because I only have 3 semesters left of school. Did some gifts exchanges that is always fun and special. Then Leandra, Meredith, Kelsey, and I headed to a BrokeNCYDE concert which was AMAZING! Their music quality is so so. But the vibe and the background music was AMAZING!! Did i mention how how the singers are? And did I say it was AMAZING!! Here are some pics of us enjoying ourselves.

Tis the Season

Last day of semester tomorrow; but I have the hardest finals tomorrow...Spanish, Lit, and Science.
BUTTT on a plus side guess who got their letter?! THIS GIRL! I lettered in Speech and Debate and I can't wait for my jacket now!
Anywho, I love holiday parties at school. The one for newspaper was fun to hang out, open gifts, and eat junk food.




Secret Santa is always fun, Juliette was who I had. She made her list specific; car fresheners. I got her some to dangle, and some to attach to the vents along with a teddy pair and 16 fun sized twix all wrapped individually. She loved it.


My secret Santa was Sara, and she did so well. She got me some earrings that are feathered, and a feather hair piece!



And of course everyone else had fun receiving their gifts too!




Tomorrow, I exchange gifts with most of my friends at school! Konner and I exchanged today and I got him a set of personalized bracelets that say Soul Sisters and he got me an adorable Hello Kitty shirt of Hello Kitty in nerd glasses with a camera! Tomorrow after is the IP party with ANOTHER secret Santa, then a concert with Leandra and Meredith to BrokenCYDE. OHH and then I leave early Friday morning for an over debate tournament, but this time it is overnight. Instead of there just being 20-30 schools, there is going to be over 100! If I place then I know I am good. Just remember; Shimmer, Sparke, Shine!

December

Its the most wonderful time of the year! I truly is. I love the friendly people, and giving gifts, along with wrapping them. This year I am wrapping all mine in OWL Paper. SO me.

This year I am also doing an advent swap with Shae, as mom does it with Shari. I give one gift to Shaelyn everyday til Christmas, and she does the same for me. Along with that you give them a little something everyday with it like a quote or what not.

For Shae I asked he fun questions everyday from this Kids Christmas book that lets them use their imagination. I am also very proud of my wrapping!


Shae was creative because she has me open up something she likes about me everyday with my present in honor of my work for the Shimmer Sparkle Shine Project! So sweet! She has also gotten me some sweet gifts, for being 9 she knows me so well! It makes me happy to see!! I have gotten some t shirts, and awesome journal, Hello Kitty stuff! My favorite being what I got today. I got an OWL Tea Set. (Mormon Style) It is so cool. One part stores your tea, while the the the top half of the owl is a tea pot, and the bottom is the cup! LOVE IT!

I love this time of the year, but one of the biggest bummers is how finals gets in the way. I have been working my butt off while still trying to do the things I enjoy. It can be hard. Anyways, going to another concert of Brokencyde! Excited for that. YAY!!!

FOREVER ALONE!

Thanksgiving was lots of fun, always have fun with my cousins. It seems like every family gathering we have a new joke that we base our lives around. This time it was FOREVER alone and Herp and Derp comics. So funny. Here is a sample of each.


Me and mckay tried to make our own Herp and Derp Faces..doesnt look right. BUTTT we did a cousin picture (minus Tanner) of us FOREVER ALONE!


Anyways..my outfit looked so amazing on Thanksgiving! And my mommy looked great too! We took some awesome mom and daughter photos. So grateful for her!




Thanksgiving was just so much fun and now it is time for the HOLIDAYS! Getting my Christmas tree up, getting Shea's advent gifts ready, just love this time of year!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I love the kick off of the holiday season! I have so many things to be thankful for! Scary thought...only one more Thanksgiving left till I graduate. SCARY! Anyways thank you for reading my blog, and all my friends and family! Today I felt so happy to wear a cute outfit! Thrifty shopping worthy.

Im GROWING UP!!!

It is such a scary thought being a junior and having to plan the rest of my life! This thought came to me today and I printed out 10 scholarship essays to do this weekend, and researched my dream collage. It has been my dream collage since I was like 9.
I was looking around the website looking for the journalism degree, but later on I figured out that to get a journalism degree I actually get a major in communication with a focus on journalism.

At the conference I went to for newspaper, I took a class on people wanting to get a degree in journalism. The speaker highly recommended that you get minor in something else you like. This way it opens up many options for you. I was looking between history and political science, and the political science classes seems so much more exciting. That might be my minor.

It is so hard to think that in less then a year and a half I will be on my own in a different state, cooking for myself, meeting new people, and handling everyday life. At the same time it is exciting that I can be with other LDS members, make new friends, and possible meet my eternal companion.

I emailed the communication department, and I am trying to set up a tour at the campus and for their department over spring break. Wish me luck on my journey everyone. Now I am off to memorize a scene of Shakespeare with a group.

Fall

I love fall time, when the trees change colors, and holiday spirit starts! It makes me so happy around this time of year and I think it must be because my mother has rubbed off on me. In Young Womens we made a THANKFUL banner for our home as decorations and this inspired to say the top 10 things I am thankful for!

1. My family is of course number one! It is for like everyone. I am thankful for my Mom and Dad, Step Dad, Uncles, Aunts, and cousins. Too many family members I am proud of to name.

2. My friends, but most of all my friends who have got me through the most; Bruna, Anna, Konner, Marissa just to name a few. They have no idea how thankful I am for them to be in my life.

3. My school. Most countries don't have the opportunity to get the education I do, and without school I wouldn't have a reason to wake up to get me motivated.

4. Church. I am a proud Latter Day Saint, and my church is my life. Without it I don't know where I would be emotionally. It is my stability in life.

5. Hard work that everyone puts in to making this country run. If one person didn't do their job out world would be less stable, and every job is one that the country needs. I am thankful for all people who work.

6. I am thankful for my country, being the land of the free. This allows me to express my freedom of speech(which I really need with my mouth).

7. I am thankful for all the people who create art and make such beautiful things to make the world more pleasant and gorgeous.

8. This may sound naive, but I am thankful for technology. Without it I don't know how I would get school work done, or anything done, or have friends. jk

9. I am thankful for the house over my head and the food on my plate.

10. I am thankful for all my pets for giving me happiness, comfort and protection.

My computer broke :(

SO i am now using the laptop till further notice, because every time I would do a google search and click on a link, it would take me elsewhere. EVERY TIME! I thought it was a google error, guess not. Anyways, I attended Youth Summit with the Northglenn Youth Commission, we have some great things in store for the city! Then Shae spend the night and we watched my favorite childhood book that was also a movie; A Little Princess. At first she didn't want to but she loved it! Then today we woke up did our homework and tons of other fun stuff.

Tonight is going to be a truly special spiritual experience. I get me patriarchal blessing. It is revelation you can receive in a special prayer done by a patriarch, and tells you of blessing you will receive if you stay on the right path. Happy Haloween

So it is my first day back to school. Man is it hard, but Bruna spent the night last night and made me laugh this morning. I love her so much. Her and cats make me laugh..long story. So since I couldn't wear my robot head with crutches I am just wearing black and red and hello kitty ears. Simple enough. Wish I could show more spirit. I have taken one pic so far of me and Leandra. She is a Lady Bug.
Matching red and black! lol. I was orginally supposed to be the Party Rock Robot from LMFAO music videos. Uncle Byron made it, pretty bomb.

Tonight I am going to see Mayday Parade! Excited about that! I love their song "Kids in Love". Bruna is of course escorting me to that.lol. Until next time,

Surgery

I got my foot surgery to remove that broken bone last Thursday, and I actually did well. Minus the pain sucks and hundreds of blood vessiles popped on my face from being face down. This weekend I have just been taken a chill doing homework and sitting in Uncle Byron's bed that you can control the feet of head side to move to your comfort! Halloween is Monday and I am seeing Mayday parade! That should be interesting being on crutches and all. Bruna is going with me of course. What else is going on..... Nothing too much over then we got SNOW! I love snow so much! I thought that in honor of the snow I would post my favorite must haves for winter.

First is a snuggie! I thought it was soo dumb untill I tried one, and HOLY COW it keeps you warm!

2nd; is a good pair of uggs! legit! I have loved mine so much ever since I got them for christmas from Shari. They are real too, and if you cant get the "real" ones, get knock off. They are still great.

3rd is a nice bow to wear in your hair on all days of winter. A simple black bow dressed up any outfit no matter the temperature.

Now those chilly days where there is no snow I recommend my new guilty pleasure. Moccasins, I have a brown and purple pair and I love them!

Half way there, 5th would be a nice fancy winter jackets you can wear anywhere and look classy. I got a hounds-tooth one from the local thrift store for 6 bucks! and it had never been worn and was originally 100!! Such a great find!

The 6th must have is nice body lotion, because winter can dry out our skin. That is never fun! I personally love the Victoria Secret Pink Line, because its soft, smells good, and doesn't set off my asthma.

7th must have is a nice scarf, which I am still on the hunt for! They look so cute on outfits.

8th is a nice over sized sweater or nice cardigans to keep you warm and chic!! Love it!


9th is my favorite thing for all seasons. PEARLS!!! They look so nice and chic and amazing and ahh i love them!!! Winter is when they are best.

Last, is amazing friends and family to spend winter with and make tons of memories <3
